The Quality Policy we follow at Kedom Lubricants is the cornerstone for achieving our corporate goals.

All these years of our operation, this policy remains stable and the implementation of the Environment, Quality, Safety & Health of Employees Management System is based on it.

Kedom Lubricants produces and markets lubricant products according to the needs of the modern consumer-customer, as well as the obligations arising from the agreements that have been concluded. In no case and never violates the terms of the Legislation and the regulations, as they are imposed by the Greek and International Legislation.

Primary Objectives of the Company are:

  1. The provision of high quality products, with the aim of satisfying the customers’ requirements to the maximum, while maintaining, at the same time, a high level of efficiency.
  2. Respect for people and the protection of the natural environment, as well as ensuring good working conditions for all employees.

To achieve the above, Kedom Lubricants has staff with high-level training and many years of experience, while it is famous for its excellent organization, the latest technology machines and instruments it uses.

All company executives are responsible for ensuring the commitments made, making, at the same time, an unceasing effort to improve the services and products provided.

Based on the aforementioned, the Management may modify either the present policy or the Integrated Management System, with the ultimate goal of continuous improvement of the Management System.

Product Control Procedures and Stages

Before the final products are delivered to the consumer, they are checked in a fully equipped chemistry-laboratory, with the latest generation machines and devices.

Our experienced scientific staff conducts daily a multitude of analyzes on products, but also on raw materials, always observing the strict specifications and standards set by the health and safety regulations.

The entire production process of the company, together with the control of the items they provide, is performed according to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 quality assurance system, to ensure the stability of the quality of the product that reaches your hands.

Clarity, homogeneity, purity, presence of suspended particles & foreign bodies.

Based on the viscosity at the two temperatures, the viscosity index (V.I.) is calculated, which serves as an indication of the change in viscosity during temperature changes.

In this way, the SAE number of the oil is also indirectly obtained.ASTM D445, D2270

Measurement of the alkalinity of the oil, which, as a property, is able to compensate for the action of the acids formed when the oil is heated.

Alkalinity offers protection against oxidation and wear, which may be caused by the extensive presence of produced acids in the engine.

ASTM D2896

High operating temperatures of an engine can evaporate some of the oil and this leads to high fuel consumption and changes in the properties of the oil.

ASTM D5800

Moisture causes oxidation and destruction of the oil, and this leads to reduced engine protection, wear and corrosion.

It is an important method of controlling the composition of products for the correct quality and quantity of additives in each product.

The ability of a lubricating oil to separate from water and resist emulsification is a particularly important performance characteristic for applications where there is a possibility of water contamination of the lubricant under turbulent conditions.

ASTM D1401

It is also particularly important to determine the foaming of lubricating oils in applications involving turbulence, high pumping intensity or high gear speed, which may cause insufficient overflow, lubrication and oxidation.


This is the lowest temperature at which the oil releases volatile and flammable substances, so that it ignites with the existence of a small ignition point. It is considered to be of particular importance, especially for the safe use of the products.

ASTM D92 & D93

The amount of deposits that may remain in the engine and cause contamination of the pistons, after the total consumption of the oil, is measured.


A significant amount of sulfated ash can cause premature clogging of the particulate filter in diesel engines, while a low content of sulfated ash will result in a reduced ability to balance the acids created during combustion. In this case, very low sulfur fuel is required.


The viscosity at low temperature and low cross-sectional speed of liquid automatic transmissions, hydraulic oils as well as valves are of major importance for the proper operation of mechanical equipment, since they play a role in the performance of the oil, but also in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The measurement of specific parameters of lubricants, at low temperatures, is used to determine their acceptance in terms of quality.
